My Work

What I have done and what I do

Splitting Headache

Splitting Headache Is actually a redesign of an old artwork I did in high school. I loved working on this piece so much that I completed it within four hours. In a lot of ways, this artwork shows what my passion pushes me towards in regard to creating.

Scrap: a Magazine

Scrap was a project assigned to me by my professor at the time. Although the name for this magazine has had many iterations, the contents inside are what I'm proud of most. Scrap was the first magazine I had ever had the pleasure to work on, I cannot wait for the day to come that I can work on another one.

Sunstone Tarot

I have always been obsessed with the arcane such as Tarot or Oracle cards, so when my professor let us revise a project we had worked on in our first year (which for me was designing 100 tarot cards) I was beside myself with joy. I would love to produce my own 78 card tarot deck one day.

Chemeketa Press Logo

I absolutely hated creating logos before this project, however, once I started the process of working on the logo for Chemeketa Press, I realized I just had no idea how amazing the process could be. Although this logo did not get picked for the Chemeketa Press brand, I still like to think that I created something memorable.

Personal Brand Postcard

A lot of the projects I worked on when this was created had a level of depersonalization. To be able to work on a project where I got to choose what I wanted to show was a big deal to me. It showed me what I'm capable of when entrusted with creative freedom.

Working with the North Santiam Watershed Council was an experience that quite honestly shaped how I want to work with clients in the future. It was the first time I had actually come face to face with someone whom I was making a logo for. I wish them all the best in what they do, and I am eternally grateful for the opportunity they provided me when I was just 19.

Rainy Day Mermaid

This piece was more of a personal project for me. I gave myself the challenge of working with a limited color palette, as well as working with lighting and framing. I had a lot of ups and downs with this one but I can safely say I am proud of how it came out.

Moon Monsoon Album Cover

A project made during the height of quarantine, inside my house with no printer, shotty wifi, and a heaping helping of anxiety. Music really aided me in more ways than one during this time, the band Moon Monsoon helped the most on those dark days. So naturally, when my Package Design course asked for an album cover, they were the first I thought of. Thank you, Moon Monsoon, I appreciate it

Son Lux Concert Poster

Music is something that is greatly influential to me as a designer, I am constantly listening to music during my process and to be able to create a poster for Son Lux, a band I love dearly was an invaluable experience.

Drop Cap Type Design

This Drop Cap design project was assigned during my first year in the Visual Communications program we each picked a book on a topic that each of us students enjoy reading about and I chose one on crystals. Making this drop cap was a joy to create and the process for this was something I look back on fondly.

The New Normal

This is a largely personal piece that focused on the exploration of texture and color within my work. I wanted to create a distinct story with minimal details given. Shading and highlights were essential in this piece to create depth and emotion.

Craftwork Brewery Beer Label

Before this project I had never before tried my hand at package design. The process for creating something like this was very formulated. It was one project after another to be able to create one cohesive product. This project reminds me so much of the joy of designing and creating in general. I’d love to create more labels like this in the future. I’m very grateful for the opportunity to create something like this.

Grow, Eat, Compost, Repeat Poster

Before creating this poster I hadn’t really looked into creating my own illustrations for printed media such as this. The making of this poster was such a breakthrough for me and my design process.

Coffee Bag Package Design

This project was essentially a personal exploration of a product that we would like to see created in the future. Before this project I hadn’t really played around with the color red in my products design so I wanted to create something that was both, in line with other existing coffee brands, and something new that could actually be seen on the shelf.

Synesthetic Poster

For this project my fellow students and I were tasked with creating a poster based on a song we felt we were the most inspired by. The catch for this poster, however, was that we had to design what we saw as we heard this song. For me it was a lot of blues and teals in an abstract design that utilizes more of a “trippy” visual effect.

Snail Stickers

A birthday gift for a friend, this project was my first time actually making stickers that I could actually have on me as a physical product. Ever since creating these I only want to make more that I can add to my personal collection.

Behind the Screens Invite

If this design looks familiar, that’s because it is the invites for the portfolio show that you are at right now! I had the humbling opportunity to design invites and posters for the event with the help of my peers in the Visual Communications Program. This was such an amazing experience that I know that I will look back on fondly.

Curiosity Corner

Made during a break in my art block in the year I took away from school. I remembered an idea I had for this illustration. I wanted whimsy above all else I was tired of suppressing the side of myself that loves to create cute things and so just went all out with this piece.
